We have 100s and 100s of hours of past and present news broadcasts archived in mpeg-1 format, gigs and gigs of hard drive space, 100s of DVDs full of FNC and other news channel broadcasts. Our main news source is the Fox News Channel (FNC) on cable TV. We feel, as the moto says, that they are "Fair and Balanced" we also feel very strongly that they are a "truthful" News Organization. We have been watching and recording this and other news channels for many years. For about 3 years now we have been recording & storing captured news broadcasts onto hard drives and other digital media . We have archived a lot of the FNC programing, one segment that we focus on quite extensively is "The O'Reilly Factor" Other areas of interest are the "Specials", the "Exclusives" and news broadcasts that have a "Historical" value, we have lots of it all and are pleased to offer you these recordings free as a countesy knowing that truthful information about the news that effects all our lives is important.

We're digging into our archives, making lists, sorting files, organizing images & video data, building html access pages for easy access to the news data and burning the constructs onto our "Data CD's and DVD's" and... we're giving it away.

What we are offering you at no charge is the image & video data files from our archived news recordings, burned onto CD and/or DVD media. All you are ask to pay for is the cost of the media inwhich the data files are burned onto and a very small handling fee and postage. For this small investment you will be getting some of the past best news reporting around, special news broadcasts, special news events, informative news programing, excellent in content, some of it quite entertaining and historical. Without a doubt this is a must have for anyone interested in having their own news segments of the past and present, breaking news that is making History. History making events are happening all around us and now is your chance to have this information at your fingertip, a keepsake.

These files are accessed using a Windows based computer system.

How we go about it and what you can expect

"Information about our free product, What it is - What you get"

- Thank you for your interest in our News Coverage Data Disks -

We are broadcast News monitors, watching upwards of 6, 8 and even 10 or more hours of News a day at times. I personally am a Fox News Fan and a serious FNC watchers. We use a computer system connected to cable for getting our FNC and other news programing. The current hardware used in monitoring and capturing the live news broadcasts is a Windows XP Professional system operating at 2.6 gigs using an ATI All-In-Wonder 9600XT Video capture card with TV tuner.

As we are watching the news broadcast with our "Cable TV Capture System" (CTVCS) we sometimes take "Screen Shots" of events we see on the screen.. We monitor much of the news broadcasts and during this time we capture our "stills, sometimes taking as many as 300 or more screen captures during a 40 to 45 minutes news broadcast. We refer to the "stills" as "Screen Captures". These screen captures are Window bitmap image files (.bmp) captured at a resolution of 640x480, 901kb each, they are good quality though the quality can vary, based inpart on the cable signal at the time of the recording. See an example here (901kb) of 1 image. We also include a set of thumbnail grids on our DataDisks, providing a quick-view of the Image content on the disk - See an example here (243kb).

The "video" is captured in an mpeg-1 format. We do not change the captured video in any way and they are the original, 1st generation, un-edited recordings. (See a 15 sec sample here 2.8meg) The format in-which they are captured is VCD quality (videoCD). The format specs are MPEG-1, 352x240 NTSC (525), audio is 44KHz, 16bit stereo and are suitable for viewing at 640 x 480 and higher. We do, from time to time, include bonus video clips on the data disks, these bonus clips may be in a DVD quality format (MPEG-2, 720x480 NTSC (525), audio is 48KHz, 16bit stereo.

The image and video data on these CDs/DVDs are first recorded onto the Hard Drives of the CTVCS. These recordings are monitored some of the time so-as-to avoid catching the commercial breaks however we do sometimes get parts of, or an entire commercial or even the whole set of commericals. We may even miss a small part of the next news segment following the commercial break, we work to keep this to a minimum and is not an area of concern based on what this product is, a data disk of video news clips/segment. We do not always monitoring the recording and sometimes will end up with a broadcast just as you would have seen it if you had been watching the TV for yourself..

These CDs and DVDs are not "commercial" items nor professional, they are not "retail" nor wholesale, they are designed and built by us, the "image" and "video" data on this item was gathered by us and stored on our equipment. We organize and build the data onto the disks in-house, we are experienced A/V personal with over 15 years of experience in the technical field.

There is nothing "fancy" about this product in it's appearance. At this time we are labling the disks using permanent markers, this is for ID'ing the information on the disk. The protective cover/case that this product comes in can vary from item to item and it may come with a J-card. If there is a J-card with the case it will be an index listing of the content on the disk(s).

The intent of these recordings is simple, to capture the live news events and news programing at the time they occur for "Data Storage" and archiving. They are not movies nor shows in fancy packages but current and past News Events burned onto digital media, some of the content has Historical value. They are for collecting, archiving, long-term storage and playback. A nice product to have for the collector of information and reference use. These CDs/DVDs contain Data in the format of image files and mpg compressed video files and can be accessed in the same way one would access this type of data on a hard drive. Their intended use is for playback on a computer system, a Windows based computer system capable of viewing medium and large format mpg A/V files.

What we are offering for "Free" on our Disks is that "data", it will come in 2 primary formats, the Images, "Screen Captures" are the Windows bitmap format, the Video are mpeg-1 files playable on just about any Windows based computer and a media player.

All you pay is the cost of the media in which the data files are burned on, postage and a small handling fee.
